About KnowYourArea

Know the road before you go. KnowYourArea shows the road works, closures, diversions, metro lines and highway projects across Maharashtra that affect your journeys, matched to where you are.

Where the information comes from

• OpenStreetMap: roads, flyovers, tunnels and metro lines that volunteers map as under construction or planned. © OpenStreetMap contributors, used under the Open Database License.
• Public government websites: press releases, notices and tenders from departments such as MMRDA and PWD Maharashtra. Read politely once a night, following each site's rules. Every item is checked by a person before it appears.
• Citizen reports from signed-in users, checked before they're marked verified.

Every project links to its source. Information is indicative: see the disclaimer.
