What we collect and why
- Account details (name, email, a scrambled version of your password): to create your account and send you email you ask for.
- Your location, only when you allow it in the browser: to show works near you. We don't store your live location on our servers. It stays in your browser.
- Saved places you add (such as Home or Office): to send you alerts. You can delete them at any time.
- Citizen reports you submit, including the location you pin: to check and publish road problems. Your name and email are never shown publicly.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with advertisers.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, and withdraw consent, by emailing contact@knowyourarea.co.in. Deleting your account removes your saved places and alerts.
How long we keep data
Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of a deletion request.
